Drop Shadow Tutorial for PSP


This section shows lists the steps to make drop shadows on text with PSP.

1. Open a new file with the background set to white.

2. Set the foreground color to the desired text color, mine is white.

3. Click the type button.

4. Set all the settings to the following:
Choose a font (I chose MS Serif).
Choose a font style (I chose bold).
Choose a font size (I chose 24).
Set the text effects (I checked only antialias).
Set the alignment (For this example I checked center).


5. Type in some text, then click OK.

You should now have the text all selected.

6. Go to image/effects/drop shadow.

7. Set all the settings to the following:
Set the color to black (Of course).
Set the opacity to 255 (the higher the number the darker the shadow).
Set the blur to 15 (the higher the number the blurrier the shadow).
Set the offset:
Set both the VERTICAL and HORIZONTAL to 2.

8. Click OK. Then deselect the graphic. If you used my settings, your graphic should look like this:
